<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extension telephone making a talk back call termination service more user-friendly in a cordless telephone connected to a telephone controller. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cordless telephone 1 is characterized in that it is connected to the telephone controller which provides a talk back call termination service, that a master unit 2 is provided with: a detection means for detecting a slave unit installation state; a receiving means for receiving a talk back call termination message from the telephone controller; a confirmation means for confirming the slave unit installation state when the talk back call termination message is received; a master unit telephone conversation constitution means for allowing two-way telephone conversation between the master unit 2 and the telephone controller when it is confirmed that a slave unit 3 is installed; and a transmitting means for transmitting a talk back instruction message to the slave unit 3 when it is confirmed that the slave unit is not installed, and that the slave unit 3 is provided with a slave unit telephone conversation constitution means for receiving the talk back instruction message to allow the two-way telephone conversation with the telephone controller.
