<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a general-purpose internal combustion engine improving fuel economy performances and emission performances and preventing stall by determining appropriate warming up time in the general-purpose internal combustion engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Temperature tb of the general-purpose internal combustion engine and outside air temperature ta are detected (S10, S12). The warming up time T2 for warming up the internal combustion engine is determined based on the detected temperature tb of the internal combustion engine and the outside air temperature ta (S16). Quantity of fuel supplied to the internal combustion engine is increased until the warming up time passes from start of the internal combustion engine (S18, S20. S32).
