PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device generating an appropriate braking force even when failure occurs, while suppressing the variation of braking force among wheels. SOLUTION: A first pump raises right front wheel cylinder pressure to apply a braking force to a right front wheel. A second pump raises left front wheel cylinder pressure to apply a braking force to a left front wheel. A target fluid pressure determination section determines right front wheel target fluid pressure and left front wheel target fluid pressure when it obtains a braking request. When the target fluid pressure determination section determines that either one of right front wheel braking force or left front wheel braking force is smaller than the other by the extent that satisfies a variation condition, this section performs a correction for lowering the target fluid pressure so that the higher braking force approaches to the lower braking force. When the degree of nonattainment of actual fluid pressure with respect to the target fluid pressure satisfies a failure etermination condition in either the right front wheel or the left front wheel, the target fluid pressure determination section determines that a failure has occurred in the first pump or the second pump, and avoids the right and left difference correction for the front wheels.
