A key holder is disclosed. A key holder according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a first electronic key section and a mechanical key section. The first electronic key section is arranged on a first side of the key holder, in which a radio signal used for opening an electronic lock is stored. The mechanical key section is arranged on a second side of the key holder, on which a mechanical key used for opening a mechanical lock is mounted. A key holder according to the present invention is useful as it has a semiconductor chip for storing a password to be used during a payment process in public transportation, and inputting the password to desired electronic locks enhances convenience not only for payment of public transportation fares, but also for eliminating the need for carrying a large number of keys for the same number of corresponding locks. Further, a key holder according to the present invention has key positioning cavities, each having the shape and size to receive mechanical keys copied from mechanical keys paired with their corresponding mechanical locks, and this prevents the key holder from becoming bulky through having keys in various shapes and sizes. |
