<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumption without spoiling handleability of a portable terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A user state detection part 100 of the portable terminal checks whether or not a user views a display screen in a predetermined period based on a photographed image of a photography part 101.
