PURPOSE: A shift control system for automatic transmission on vehicle and method thereof are provided to secure the shift feeling and transmission responsive of an optimum in the successive transmission state among the kick down shift. CONSTITUTION: The car speed detection unit(110) detects the number of rotation of the output axis of a transmission. The car speed detection unit provides the driving car speed information to the controller(150). The transmission detector(120) detects the synchronized shift gear. The kick down switch(130) is operated by the accelerating pedal. The kick down switch detects the kick down shift demand of an operator. The throttle open degree detection unit(140) detects the opening position of the throttle valve. The controller controls the fluid pressure of the liberation element and bonding element. The controller sets up the flag of the series shift. The memory unit(160) stores in the shift pattern and correction data table. The actuator(170) is comprised of at least one solenoid valve.
