<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester conjugated staple fiber which has a polyester excellent in crystallinity in the sheath portion and an amorphous polyester in the core portion, can be processed at low temperature, when especially used as a binder fiber to heat-adhere, and can give a product such as a nonwoven fabric excellent in thermal adhesiveness, good in dimensional stability, and excellent in texture, flexibility and mechanical characteristics. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Provided is the polyester conjugated staple fiber which comprises a polyester A comprising a dicarboxylic acid component containing terephthalic acid as a main component and a diol component containing 1,6-hexane diol in an amount of ≥50 mol%, containing a crystal-nucleating agent in an amount of 0.01 to 5.0 mass%, and having a melting point of 100 to 150°C, and an amorphous polyester B having a flow-starting temperature of 105 to 155°C, characterized by exhibiting a sheath-core shape having the polyester A in the sheath portion and the polyester B in the core portion, and having a fiber length of 1.0 to 100 mm.
