<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing for a film-like catalyst capable of being processed to a desired shape by giving no damage to a catalyst layer. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing for the film-like catalyst has the step of manufacturing the film-like catalyst by forming the catalyst layer on one surface or both surfaces of a support, the step of bending-processing the film-like catalyst, and the step of cutting it if necessary. In the bending-processing step, two gears arranged so as to be opposed to each other such that teeth is engaged with each other is used as a bending processing tool, and bending processing is performed in the state that a protection material having a compression ratio of 40-95% is interposed between the catalyst layer of the film-like catalyst and two gears.
