METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SILICON RIBBON AND SILICON RIBBON USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a silicon ribbon and the silicon ribbon manufactured by the same are provided to control impurity and crystal defect after congelation by forming the silicon ribbon while the molten silicon moves along a spiral groove. CONSTITUTION: The molten silicon is manufactured. The molten silicon is injected into a cylindrical spiral rotation substrate(120) with a spiral groove(130) connected from the entrance of an inner wall to an exit. The spiral rotation plate is rotated to move the molten silicon from the entrance to the exit along the spiral groove. The molten silicon formed on the spiral groove in the exit is congealed by cooling the exit of the spiral rotation plate. A silicon ribbon(160) is made by separating the congealed molten silicon from the spiral rotation substrate with a ribbon shape.
