PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a labeling apparatus able to attach a label to the two side faces of an adherend. SOLUTION: This labeling apparatus 1 attaches a label to an adherend a by sucking a label by a suction head 31 at a suction position and transferring the head 31 in the horizontal direction. The head 31 is moved in an x-direction by an x-direction drive part 35 and in a y-direction by a y-direction drive part 37. An actuator 33 rotates the head 31 and a suction head moving part 32 from a side face X-direction to a side face Y-direction. The moving part 32 moves the head 31 straight in the x-direction before it is rotated and in the y-direction after it is rotated. A controller 40 moves the head 31 where a label lx is adsorbed to the moving part 32 (arrow Ia) in attaching a label lx and moves the head 31 where a label ly is adsorbed to the part 37, the actuator 33, the drive part 35, the moving part 32 (arrow IIa-e), or the like in attaching a label ly.
