<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient data protection method, device and storage device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The data protection method includes: setting a logical unit number (LUN) key area; obtaining a data change amount when data in a preset LUN key area is changed; determining whether the data change amount exceeds a preset threshold; and creating a snapshot if the data change amount exceeds the preset threshold. The data protection device and the storage device including the data protection device are also provided. The invention divides part content in LUN into LUN key areas, starting quantitative tactics, in other words, snapshot is generated only when the data variation exceeds the default threshold.
