摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that realizes high heat exchanging efficiency without deteriorating strength against inner pressure in a cooling part of a Stirling engine. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This Stirling engine includes a heat exchanger formed in a cylindrical shape and exchanging heat between an operating gas flowing along the inner face and a coolant flowing along the outer face, a coolant flow passage for making the coolant to flow along the outer face of the heat exchanger in the circumferential direction of the heat exchanger, a coolant inlet for supplying the coolant to the coolant flow passage, and a coolant outlet for discharging the coolant from the coolant passage. An annular partitioning wall for partitioning the coolant flow passage in the axial direction of the heat exchanger, and an annular fin having a projecting height from the outer face of the heat exchanger that is lower than the partitioning wall, are formed on the outer face of the heat exchanger. The coolant inlet and the coolant outlet are disposed at positions opposing each other to sandwich a central axis of the heat exchanger in the circumferential direction of the heat exchanger, and the center of the coolant inlet and the center of the coolant outlet are arranged at substantially the same position as the center of the partitioning wall in the axial direction of the heat exchanger.
