PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous cladding composition having water resistance and good zero-span tensile properties by reducing the content of a film-forming auxiliary agent which reduces water resistance and zero-span tensile properties and without using a special emulsion such as the one having a core shell structure. SOLUTION: The aqueous cladding composition comprises an acrylic emulsion, a filler or an aggregate having a hydroxy group on the surface thereof, a trialkoxysilane having a vinyl group, a pigment, a thickener, and a film-forming auxiliary agent. The inventive composition is an aqueous cladding composition having excellent zero-span tensile properties, because the acrylic resin and the aggregate or the filler are chemically integrated with a trialkoxysilane compound to form a uniform coating film having good water resistance and an integrated structure, thereby capable of following the stretching of the coating film caused by motion of a building by wind, an earthquake, or the like.
