Fluid injector employing ultrasound excitation frequency and comprising an injector body (10) defining an injection hole (12); a device, able to be moved axially inside the injector body (10), comprising a needle (20) and an active assembly (30); the needle (20) having a head (21) for shutting off a seat on the inside of the injector body (10); means (13) for compressing the needle (20) so as to move the shut-off head (21) back against the injection hole (12); and the active assembly (30) comprising means for moving the active assembly to a so-called injection position by extending the device; said injector being characterized in that it comprises means for immobilizing the active assembly (30) axially in its injection position.
