PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility for cooling a furnace body of a blast furnace with which not only the furnace body, especially a furnace bottom sidewall part can efficiently be cooled, but also, the cooling facility of the whole furnace body can easily be carried out and controlled without bringing about the deterioration of the working atmosphere. SOLUTION: The cooling facility of the furnace wall at the upper part from a bosh part in the furnace body of the blast furnace is constituted with a stave cooler, and the cooling facility of the furnace bottom sidewall part is constituted with a plurality of steel-made cooling pipes parallel-arranged between the furnace wall refractory brick and the iron shell and a monolithic refractory material surrounding these cooling pipes, and a cooling water circulating system with the above stave cooler is constituted in the facility.
