PURPOSE: A backlight unit and a liquid crystal display device with the same is provided to prevent a gap between a light guide plate and a reflecting sheet. CONSTITUTION: A light source(151) emits light. A light guide plate(140) is arranged in parallel with the light source. The reflecting sheet(160) is arranged in a lower surface of the light guide plate. In an inclined reflecting sheet, one side corresponding to the light source inclines to the light guide plate. A reflecting member(155) includes the first to third surfaces covering the light source and the first surface supporting an inclined lower surface of the reflecting sheet. A bottom cover(180) contacts the first to third surfaces of the reflecting member.
