MULITI-TOUCH SYSTEM AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A multi touch system and a driving method thereof are provided to remove a virtual image by determining the virtual image included in X and Y coordinates by comparing the X and Y coordinates of a touch object with the intensity of the light sensed by a photo diode array. CONSTITUTION: A first image sensor(C1) and a second image sensor(C2) are installed in both sides of one corner of four edges of a display device. A photo diode array(20) is installed between the first and second image sensors. A processor calculates X and Y coordinates of the touch object based on the images photographed by the first and second image sensors. The processor detects X axis position of the touch object based on the intensity of the light sensed by the photo diode array. The processor removes a virtual image after determining the virtual image in the X and Y coordinates by comparing the X and Y coordinates of the touch object with the X axis position. An infrared ray emitting line is installed in the remaining edges except for one edge with the photo diode array.
