Compound transparent sheets. - A device for sealing the edges of compound sheets a of glass united to celluloid or like material comprises a rotated annular disc g' dipping into a trough of sealing liquid and delivering same into a groove c in the edge of the compound sheet. The disc is clamped between collars g<2>, g<4> keyed to the spindle h, which is driven by a belt h<2> and pulleys h<3>, h<1> from the motor h<4>. The sheet a is supported by a roller i and by the edges g<3> of the clamping collars. The sealing liquid is heated, as by a gas burner e, and a two-part apertured cover d<2> may be provided on the trough.
