FREQUENCY SWEPT LASER USING A ROTATING SLIT

PURPOSE: A frequency swept laser using a rotating slit is provided to allow easy selection of a wave length by moving a slit is horizontally. CONSTITUTION: In a frequency swept laser using a rotating slit, an optical amplifier(11) generates an optical signal of a broadband wavelength area. A first and a second polarization controllers(12,13) are connected to an output end of the optical amplifier and input end of a feed back, and arrange the polarization state of an optical signal so that they have a maximum transfer rate and a gain. An optical circulator(14) transmits an optical signal inputted from the first polarization controllers to a collimator(15) and transmits the optical signal inputted from a collimator by an optocoupler. The collimator transforms the output light signal of the optical amplifier inputted from the optical circulator into parallel ray. A collimator transmits the parallel ray to a wavelength selection filter(16).
