PURPOSE: A grating moving method and apparatus of a 3D measuring system using moire are provided to control the grating moving apparatus accurately by detecting the moving interval of lattice using a lattice pattern according to the movement of projection grating. CONSTITUTION: A grating moving method of a 3D measuring system comprises steps of: obtaining the initial reference grating using a light source and a projection grating(S10), detecting the displacement while moving the projection grating(S20), comparing the displacement with a reference value(S40), compensating the displacement by reducing or increasing the displacement when the detected moving amount is greater or less than the reference value(S50), and controlling the grating moving apparatus based on the compensated displacement(S60).
