FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical engineering based on organic synthesis, specifically to production of propylene oxide from propylene and hydrogen peroxide in an organic solvent using heterogeneous catalyst in a cascade of a series of reactors with removal of reaction heat from epoxidation reactors and separation of the obtained reaction mass through fractionation. In accordance with the invention, epoxidation process is carried out at boiling temperature of the reaction mass, reaction heat is removed by circulating the reaction mass and condensing propylene vapour, and the epoxidation process is carried out while increasing reaction temperature from reactor to reactor by reducing concentration of propylene in the reaction mass and varying pressure. ^ EFFECT: cutting number of primary reactors by half. ^ 3 cl, 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 2 ex |
