摘要 FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used for producing antifriction products and coats. Initial cryptocrystalline graphite is activated in mill-type activator to grain size no exceeding 10 mcm and sintered at 800 to 1000C for 2 to 5 h. Resultant product is oxidised, washed, dried and thermally treated in thermal-shock conditions. ^ EFFECT: obtained expanded cryptocrystalline graphite features bulk weight of 0,0022 to 0,0043 g/cm3 which means 30 to 40 % reduction as compared to initial graphite. ^ 1 tbl
