FIELD: physics. ^ SUBSTANCE: fibre-optic cable packing machine has a cable trolley in form of a multilink mechanism on which there are Y-shaped levers. The levers can move vertically relative the housing of the multilink mechanism. There are actuators for the Y-shaped levers on the housing of the multilink mechanism. A bushing with a longitudinal slot for the cable, on which there is an axle, is attached to one of the Y-shaped levers. A removable shaft holder is mounted on the axle, at the ends of which there are removable reserve drums with fibre-optic cable. Each of the reserve drums has electric drives. A guiding device in form of two shells with a clamping mechanism for the optical cable is also attached to the axle. A connecting mechanism is attached to the axle. ^ EFFECT: reduced labour input when installing the fibre-optic cable. ^ 5 dwg
