The hydrogen production installation comprises incinerator (1) of industrial or household wastes, a generator (2) to produce water vapor, a turbo-alternator (3) fed with water stream, and an electrolyzer (6) fed with electricity by the turbo-alternator to provide the hydrogen. A storage tank (7) is connected to the electrolyzer for feeding the hydrogen under pressure. A hydrogen distribution station is present close to the installation. The hydrogen produced by the electrolyzer feeds a hydrogen network. The storage tank is directly connected to the electrolyzer. The hydrogen production installation comprises incinerator (1) of industrial or household wastes, a generator (2) to produce water vapor, a turbo-alternator (3) fed with water stream, and an electrolyzer (6) fed with electricity by the turbo-alternator to provide the hydrogen.
