<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily inflate and develop an airbag by pre-weakening an automobile trim piece. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a trim piece 10 providing a concealed deployment door and an opening for an airbag. A base panel 12 is formed together with one or a plurality of integrated door panels in which an insertion space 18 is preformed between one or a plurality of door panels 14A, 14B and the base panel. One side of each door panel is integrated with the base panel to form a hinge. The base panel 12 is covered with one or a plurality of covering layers 20, 22 which extend over one or a plurality of door panels and the opening.
