<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for solving the problem due to a paper passing failure that an envelope is exfoliated from a sucking drum to perform precise printing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This envelope is printed by a printer or a copying machine having a columnar sucking drum to make sucking for printing. To bring the envelope into close contact with a rotating outer periphery of the columnar drum, a tubular body part constituted by a top surface part 12 and a rear surface part 14 extending along a transferring direction for printing is formed, a cut end 20 which is a front or rear end in the transferring direction and extends in a direction crossing the transferring direction is not folded, and extended from the top surface part 12 or the rear surface part 14, and a folding piece 22 extending in the direction crossing a rotary direction of the columnar drum is formed.
