PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide film having excellent heat resistance, colorless transparency, formability (easiness at the formation into a film shape, and smallness of process load) and optical characteristics, and producible at low cost. SOLUTION: The film contains a polyamic acid and/or a polyimide prepared by reacting (A) at least one of acyl compounds selected from the group consisting of 2,3,5-tricarboxycyclopentylacetic acid, 2,3,5-tricarboxycyclopentylacetic acid dianhydride and a reactive derivative thereof, with (B) a specific aromatic imino-forming compound.
