<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stabilizing charging potential and also reducing the film wear of an image holder. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 is provided with: the image holder 40; an image forming section 64 for black and for other colors including a charging unit 42 for charging the image holder 40 by application of DC voltage and a destaticizing unit 46 for destaticizing the image holder 40 after a developer image is transferred to paper; a transfer roll 62 for black and for other colors for transferring the developer image formed on the image holder 40 to a recording medium; and a control section 36 for controlling the destaticizing unit 46 of the image forming section 64 for the other colors to be in an activated state for a constant time while charging bias to the charging unit 42 for the image forming section 40 for the other colors is in an applied state and transfer bias to the transfer roll 62 for the other colors is in the unapplied state in a monochrome mode when only the image forming section 64 for black and the transfer roll 62 for black are used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
