PURPOSE: A water depth adjusting device for a swimming pool and a control method thereof are provided to reduce time to adjust the water depth and facilitate controlling water depth according to the use of the swimming place. CONSTITUTION: A water depth adjusting device for a swimming pool comprises a variable panel(50), an adjusting unit(70), a controller, and a water depth sensor and a finishing panel(90). The variable panel forms the floor side of a water tank(30). The adjusting unit is connected to the water tank to be elevated. The controller controls the drive of the adjusting unit. The water depth sensor senses the depth of water of the variable panel. The finishing panel is formed in the variable panel. The finishing panel covers a gap formed at the bottom of the water tank.
