PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for an electrophotographic developer which is excellent in electrostatic charging stability and image stability for a long term, moreover, hardly causes fogging and carrier attachment, has satisfactory image density and environmental dependency and can adequately correspond to higher speed and a full color, and to provide the electrophotographic developer using the carrier for the electrophotographic developer. SOLUTION: The carrier for the electrophotographic developer is constituted so that the surface of a carrier core material is covered with a mixed resin of a fluorinated resin selected from a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer and a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkylvinylether copolymer, and a polyamide-imide resin, wherein a surface active agent and a charge control agent are contained in the mixed resin and a content of a perfluoro octanesulfonic acid contained in the mixed resin is 100 ppm or smaller.
