PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an image forming device to be unitarily managed by a management device even when the image forming device is locally connected to an information processor connected to a network.

SOLUTION: In a printer driver 50, a status monitoring module 52 and a switch processing unit 53 are added to a printer driver body 51, and the status monitoring module 52 is connected not only to a local communication module 54 through the switch processing unit 53 but also connected to a network communication module 55. The switch processing unit 53 passes print data from the printer driver body 51 or a status acquisition request command from the status monitoring module 52 to the local communication module 54, and distributes status information from the local communication module 54 to the printer driver body 51 or the status monitoring module 52 or passes the status information to both according to the kind of the status information. The status monitoring module 52 transmits the status information to a management device 20 through a communication unit 55 and 16 in response to a request or autonomously.
