<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NOx sensor keeping an NOx decomposing capacity in an inside second pump electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The NOx sensor 1 is equipped with: a first measuring chamber 150 demarcated between a first and second solid electrolyte layers 111 and 112; a first pumping cell 110 which is equipped with the inside first pump electrode 113 fronted on the first measuring chamber to be arranged on the first solid electrolyte layer and a first counter pole electrode 112 becoming the counter pole of the inside first pump electrode; a second measuring chamber 160 communicating with the first measuring chamber; and a second pumping cell 130 equipped with an inside second pump electrode 133 provided in the second measuring chamber and a second counter pole electrode 132 becoming the counter pole of the inside second pump electrode to detect a specific gas component. The inside second electrode is baked electrode comprising Pt alone as a metal component or based on 50 mass% or above of Pt and containing a platinum group and characterized in that the area ratio of particles with a long diameter of 3 μm or above is 30% or below when viewed from a cross section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
