<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance impression to further prevent damage to power distribution lines by preventing the power distribution lines for an operation panel from being exposed while freely displacement-operating the operation panel in an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a panel support device for supporting the operation panel. The panel support device is composed of a hinge structure and a hollow hinge cover for covering the outer face of the hinge structure. A first wiring opening and a second wiring opening are opened in the end of an apparatus body side of the hinge cover and the end of the operation panel respectively. The power distribution lines for connecting the apparatus body and the operation panel are wired through the first wiring opening, an inside space of the hinge cover and the second wiring opening to cover the power distribution lines with the hinge cover. The hinge cover is made in form of a flat hollow body with an upper hinge cover and a lower hinge cover covering the hinge structure from both upper and lower faces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
