<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel for reducing an influence of external light to improve recognition precision of a touch position. <P>SOLUTION: The panel is equipped with: a light source 102 by which light is made incident onto a light guide plate 101; light reception elements 104, 105 arranged in a part of a side face of the plate 101; and an imaging means 107 for imaging light from the light source 102, scattered by a detection object 201 between the side face of the plate 101 and the elements 104, 105, onto the elements 104, 105. A light absorption means 108 is arranged on a part of the side face of the plate 101 with the elements 104, 105 arranged thereon, and the elements 104, 105 are arranged outside a radiation range of the light source 102. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
