PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management server and a medical image management system, allowing image processing for a medical image with easy operation without concentrating processing on a main server.

SOLUTION: A lowest-load image management server A or B is made to execute image conversion processing when the image management server A that is the main server receives the photographed medical image from a modality 4, and the lowest-load image management server A or B is also made to execute the processing when the image management server A receives a request for the image processing such as MPR processing from a client terminal 3. The image management server A transfers network information of the image management server A or B executing the processing to the client terminal 3, so that the image management server A or B executing the processing is connected with the client terminal 3 via a network 1.
