<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination unit suitable for illumination of the surrounding of a display device of a wall hooking type, and to provide an illumination device. <P>SOLUTION: Installation holes 31 for installing the illumination unit by a screw on the rear face of a display device 20 is installed at both ends of a device-side wall hooking member 30. The dimension of the installation hole 31 is the same as that of the installation hole of an arm 2 of the illumination unit. The device-side wall hooking member 30 is installed on the rear face of the display device 20 by tightening the screw through the installation hole 31. When installing the device-side wall hooking member 30 on the display device 20, the illumination unit can be installed by tightening the screw by aligning the installation hole of the illumination unit in the installation hole 31 of the device-side wall hooking member 30.
