<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystal device for surface mounting for securing a seal path by making joint at an outer peripheral square corner part sufficient, maintaining airtightness reliably, and improving productivity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The crystal device for surface mounting satisfies relationships of A2/A1<C2/C1 and B2/B1<D2/D1, where a ratio of a length A2 of a straight portion of a long side except for a curved portion of a square corner part to a length A1 of the long side, of a metal ring 4 is A2/A1, a ratio of a length B2 of a straight portion of a short side to a length B1 of the short side, of the metal ring 4 is B2/B1, a ratio of a length C2 of a straight portion of a long side to a length C1 of the long side, of a metal cover 3 is C2/C1, and a ratio of a length D2 of a straight portion of a short side to a length D1 of the short side, of the metal cover 3 is D2/D1.
