<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a choke coil which has superior conversion efficiency of equipment in use, signal quality (signal integrity), and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and which is very easily designed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The choke coil includes a magnetic core 20, a spool 21, a resin 26, a loss line 27, a printed wiring board 28, and a winding 29. A strip conductor 38, an insulator layer 32, a semiconductor layer 33, and a ground plane 31 formed on the printed wiring board constitute a loss line having a microstrip line structure. The winding 29 is connected to a printed wiring board of equipment mounted with the choke coil through the loss line formed on the printed wiring board and a terminal.
