<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device and a rotary machine capable of holding down the maintenance cost while swingably pushing back and forth a bearing pad against a bearing housing and improving the extending life duration of the devices. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A bearing pad 52 is constituted of a pad body 54 and a hemisphere 55 provided detachably on this pad body 54 and showing the curved surface along the axis direction M of the rotary shaft 10, and projected from this pad body 54 to a bearing housing 51, and the bearing honsing 51 is constituted of a housing body 56 and a housing ring 57 (bolster member) provided detachably on this housing body 56 and keeping the hemisphere 55 abutted.
