PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat battery which can surely suppress electrode material from moving due to outside influence such as oscillation inside a battery case. SOLUTION: The flat battery is provided with: the electrode material including active substance; the battery case which contains the electrode material inside as well as having a plurality of projecting members which extend inward from an inner surface of the battery case fixed on the inner surface of the battery case; and an elastic member arranged on the inner surface of the battery can to which the projecting members are fixed. In this case, the electrode material is stored in the battery case in a state with each projecting member inserted inside the electrode material by having the electrode material energized by the elastic member to the inner surface facing the inner surface of the battery case. Thus, the electrode material can be prevented from moving inside the battery case even when the flat battery receives outside influence such as acceleration or oscillation.
