摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker in which an electromagnetic repulsion force, generated by a current flowing in an arc contact between a stationary contact assembly and a movable contact assembly at a time of flowing an excess current, is reduced or diverted. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The circuit breaker includes a plurality of main contacts and arc contacts 220, 230 for shutting down a current flow when an excess current status takes place, and each of the arc contacts 220, 230 includes contacting surfaces 305, 310 which are displaced with an angle against a rotating point 215 of at least one contact, and displacements of the contacting surfaces 305, 310 are structured so that a repulsion force moment arm 315 from the rotating point 215 of at least one contact is made smallest.
