<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display in which a bright and beautiful image is displayed with no effect of external light even in bright environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This is the organic EL display 1 which is equipped with an organic EL element part 11 consisting of at least a reflecting electrode, an organic EL light-emitting layer, and a transparent electrode, and a circularly polarizing plate composed of a phase plate (1/4 wavelength plate 14), and a polarizing plate (linear polarizing plate 15), and in which reflection prevention layers (first reflection prevention layer 16, second reflection prevention layer 18, and third reflection prevention layer 19) which are high in a reflectivity of complementary wavelength region of a color of light reflected on the surface of the polarizing plate are installed at an air interface of a member installed nearer at an observer side than the circularly polarizing plate.
