<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily manufacturing, at low cost, an activated charcoal for an electric double-layer capacitor electrode of which average particle size is small, with a uniform granularity and a relatively large specific surface area. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the activated charcoal for the electric double-layer capacitor electrode with an average particle size of 0.5-5μm and a BET specific surface area of 1,500-2,500 m<SP>2</SP>/g, is characterized in that, after an easy graphitization carbon material is baked, an alkaline metal hydroxide is used for activation treatment, and then two balls each having different diameter are used for wet crushing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
