PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector which prevents an increase in the size of a liquid crystal projector and effectively prevents dew condensation of a duct for circulating cold air cooling an optical element group from. SOLUTION: The projector includes a light source disposed in a body, and the optical element group which processes light emitted from the light source in accordance with a video signal and emits video light. The projector further includes: a coolant circuit connected by pipes so that a coolant circulates through a compressor, radiator, decompression device, and evaporator in that order; an air circulation duct forming an air passage along which air cooled by the evaporator recirculates to the evaporator through the optical element groups by use of an air blowing means; and a heating means for heating the air circulation duct. The temperature of the external face of the air circulation duct is increased at least to the dew point of air outside the air circulation duct. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
