<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device having improved efficiency of light extraction and improved brightness by extracting light confined in a luminescent layer to the outside while preventing the occurrence of total reflection in an organic EL element. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL display device includes at least one high-refraction layer having a refractive index of not lower than 1.6, and at least one low-refraction layer having a refractive index of lower than 1.6. The low-refraction layer contains high-refraction particles having a refractive index of not lower than 1.6. The high-refraction particles are arranged in a range of 1.0-1.2 times the average particle size of the high-refraction particles from an interface between the high-refraction layer and the low-refraction layer, and the average particle size of the high-refraction particles is 0.3-1μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
