PHOTON PAIR GENERATOR AND PHOTON PAIR PRODUCTION METHOD

A photon pair generator, which produces correlated photon pairs by hyper-parametric scattering, is constituted so that an optical rectifier shines light beams of the same wavelength from two mutually different directions into an optical resonator, and the optical resonator emits two correlated photons of mutually different wavelengths in the same direction. Thus is provided a photon pair generator that makes it possible to realize the production of correlated photon pairs with a simple configuration.
