<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate editing a ladder diagram. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This ladder diagram editing method opens, when a cursor 50 is in an input condition editing area 44a and a ladder component arranged in an operation output editing area 44b is selected, a setting dialog 52 for the selected ladder component by automatically moving the cursor 50 to the operation output editing area 44b, while opens, when the cursor 50 is in the operation output editing area 44b and the ladder component arranged in the input condition editing area 44a is selected, the setting dialog 52 of the selected ladder component by automatically moving the cursor 50 to the leftmost where the ladder component is not arranged in the input condition editing area 44a.
