<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vector and a method which give a high level of gene introduction efficiency and protein expression in order to provide a safe and effective gene therapy. <P>SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition comprises a recombinant adenovirus expression vector, and the recombinant adenovirus expression vector further comprises a pharmaceutical composition including genes including a partially or totally depleted protein IX DNA and a foreign protein. In one aspect, the depletion of the protein IX gene sequence expands from about 3,500 bp of the 5' virus end to about 4,000 bp of the 5' virus end. In another embodiment, the latter pharmaceutical composition further comprises depletion of a non-essential DNA sequence in initial region 3 and/or initial region 4 of adenovirus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
