PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the sure and durable engagement of the first casing portion of an electric plug connector with its second casing portion, by its engaging curved member 4 so as to avoid the defects of known arts, in such a type of electric plug connector that it has the two casing portions and each engaging curved member 4 supported by one of the casing portions in a pivotable way, and also, two supporting pins 5 are formed in its first casing portion, and further, two engaging protrusive portions 7 are formed in its second casing portion, and moreover, each engaging curved member has two engaging leg portions 11, 12 and a clipping portion 13, and furthermore, the engaging leg portions have supporting arms 14 for supports and engaging arms 16 for engagements respectively. SOLUTION: In the electric plug connector, two plastic members 18 are provided and each of them is disposed in each engaging leg portion in the following way, that is, so that each constitutive portion 19 of each plastic member overlaps with each end-portion surface 20 of each engaging arm which slides on each engaging protrusive portion in the case of the pivoting of each engaging curved member.
