PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type electronic apparatus which relatively rotates a first housing and a second housing from a folded state to open in a first direction, and relatively rotates the first and second housings in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and which prevents the first and second housings from colliding each other when they are folded and when they are opened laterally, without leading to an increase in the number of parts. SOLUTION: In the folding type electronic apparatus, when the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are folded and closed, a first buffer member 6 and a second buffer member 7 provided on an upper surface of the second housing 2 are caused to abut the first housing 1, and when the first housing 1 and the second housing 2 are relatively rotated to be open laterally, a side surface of the first housing 1 is caused to abut the first buffer member 6 and the second buffer member 7.
